Chalfont St Giles - New Modern House

We redesigned this late-1950s home for our clients and their modern family life. As they were thinking of relocating from London with young children, the replacement dwelling lies on a private road in Amersham within the Green Belt and the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
The unashamedly 21st century design embraces natural light through double-height spaces, expansive glazing and rooflights, while framing views across the mature landscape. A full width balcony extends across the rear of the proposed dwelling. As well as creating valuable amenity space the projection provides significant solar shading at ground floor level.
