This charming 17th Century, Grade II Listed property in Old Amersham has been recently extended and renovated to include a modern extension by JDA.

The extension vastly improves the flow of the house by providing a beautiful new kitchen and dining space that spills out from the bi-fold doors into the garden beyond. The extension also benefits from a brand-new downstairs WC and utility space.

Our clients were keen to flood the space with lots of natural light, which has been achieved through the apex-frame glass roof. The innermost parts of the original house feel brighter and more spacious as a result and the roof form adds extra height to the new kitchen space. Externally, the glass roof marries neatly with the existing roof forms of the house.
